The secondary schools are located in larger communities, towns or cities. These schools for 12-19 year olds are really big with 1000 – 4000 students. Almost all of these schools are co-education. Each school has a foreign language department. English is the main language offered but some of these schools also offer French, German, Italian languages. The presence of native English speaking volunteers will create conducive environment for the children to learn and speak in English. Volunteers/travelers can benefit by supplying these students with much-needed expertise in conversational English as well as provide a solid foundation to meet their needs, nurture their interests and ultimately make them attractive in Thailand’s growing job market.
All volunteer programs start on the first and third Monday of each month.
