Detailed Itinerary
The day before the program, participants will meet at ETC for an orientation.
Day One: Bangkok - Chumporn
You will leave for the gateway of the Southern Thailand, Chumprong, in the morning. Depart at 7:45 am on a train with air-condition compartment and arrive at 14:15 hrs at Chumporn after which for an overnight stay, you’ll be transferred to Chumporn Cabana Resort & Diving Center. Enjoy the resort’s activities, including organic farming and nightly boat trips for squid catching. You can also catch site of amazing clusters of fire flies. The resort is famous for concepts of environmentally-friendly concepts. (-/-/-)
You’ll arrive an day earlier at Chumporn if you take an overnight train. You’re check in time will still be at noon.
Day Two: Chumporn
You’ll see the day doing what you like. You can choose from activities like boat trip and exploring the underwater world of Ko Ngam Yai or visiting the swallow bird’s nest concessions in the islands. (B/L/-)
Day Three: Chumporn / Ko Tao
Travel to Ko Tao, the perfect place to snorkel and discover the world underwater. For that, you will be transferred to the pier for the boat to Ko Tao. Arrive at about 10.00 and check in to the bungalow accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B/-/-)
Day Four-Five: Ko Tao
Enjoy Ko Tao by joining many trips on your own. Choose with your budget and preferences in mind. For divers, you can indulge in day time dives to see the world underneath the water. You will also be involved in one night dive. You also choose to go to Ko Nang Yuan for snorkeling. Explore the surrounding beaches also. (B/-/-)
Day Six: Ko Tao / Ko Samui
Travel to Ko Samui, a popular tourist destination. You will be transferred to the pier from where you will take a ferry to Ko Samui, arriving via Ko Pha-Ngan. Upon arrival in Ko Samui, transfer to the resort for overnight. (B/-/-)
Day Seven: Angthong National Marine Park
You will today tour Angthong National Marine Park. In the morning, take a speed boat from the pier to arrive at the Park. You will enjoy the scenery of the more than 40 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. At different points, where options for snorkeling are best, halts will be made. You will then end up at Ko Mae-Ko for a stunning view of the inland lake. Following that, arrive at Wua-Ta-Lap for lunch. You then make your way to Ko Samui after that.
In Ko Samui, activities galore. You can explore the vast underwater world of coral reefs or take a canoe along the coast to view stunning coastline. Alternatively, trek inland and climb the hills to view scenic coastline from the top. You can also venture into the murky, dark world inside the cave for cave exploration or just swim and relax on the beaches. For overnight stay on the island, options are available upon request. Day Eight: Ko Samui
Enjoy Ko Samui by yourself. Relax and chill out on the fine white sandy beach. You can visit the beautiful waterfalls of the island also. (-/-/-)
Day Nine: Ko Samui
The tour will end after you are served breakfast. (B/-/-)
Departure day:
We don’t recommend the tour in monsoon season which falls from November until mid of December as its monsoon. For the rest of the year, Thailand coordinator will determined the exact date.
The tour begins from Bangkok. The transportation cost to the departure point in Bangkok isn’t covered in your volunteer and travel program fees. The responsibility to arrive at the right place and at the right time is solely yours. The exact address of your travel starting point will be given to you in Thailand.
