Detailed Itinerary
Day One: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
The drive to Kanchanaburi takes 2 hours. Depart Bangkok around 6:30 in the morning. You’ll spend the morning in Kanchanaburi visiting many important sites including the Allied War Cemetery, the Thailand-Burma Railway Center, the War Museum and the Bridge over the River Kwai. You will then be transferred to Pak Seng pier for a 30-minute boat ride up Kwai Noi River to Jungle Rafts.
You’ll travel to visit Hell Fire Pass Memorial, situated at 1000 meters, in the afternoon. This is the longest of a series of passes hacked through the mountains by allied POWs building the Death Railway and was so named for its flaming torch-lit appearance at night. After dinner, see a display of Mon dancing. You will halt overnight. The visit to Hell Fire Pass can be switched to Day 2 in case time doesn’t permit. (-/L/D)
Day Two: Kanchanaburi
Your first full day in Kanchanaburi. You’ll visit nearby Mon village. Enjoy trekking in the forest also. After the trek, the day is yours to enjoy as you may. Options include riding on the back of an elephant, Kwai Noi River rafting and enjoying Thai herbal messagne. These are not included in the tour price. (B/D/-)
Day Three: Tour Kanchanaburi and back to Bangkok
Today’s activities in Kanchanaburi include a boat to Pak Seng and a train ride on the Death Railway over the bridge. While riding, you will see amazing viaduct that the POWs constructed. After the tour, drive back to Bangkok, arriving around 6 pm.

The tour begins from Bangkok. The transportation cost to the departure point in Bangkok isn’t covered in your volunteer and travel program fees. The responsibility to arrive at the right place and at the right time is solely yours. The exact address of your travel starting point will be given to you in Thailand.
