Teaching English
Trip code: TZA2

English is one of two national languages of Tanzania. The reason of this is mainly because Tanzania was a former British colony. In recent years, with the growth of international trade and tourism, English language has gained even more prominence. As the result of this, it’s become very important for young Tanzanians to learn English if they are to have a successful career. But ordinary Tanzanians attend schools that aren’t well funded and the teachers in the schools aren’t well trained. This results in young children not being able to learn English like how they’d like to. Yet, parents and their teachers put tremendously pressure on them to get good grades in schools. Rustic Volunteer and Travel is attempting to help schools and the children by offering to bring volunteers who can teach in these schools. We’re asking you to join this project so that ordinary Tanzanians can have a better future with your help. You’ll find the students well behaved and eager to learn from volunteers like you.
