Mini-Quest Tanzania (Moshi)

Join Rustic Volunteer and Travel’s Mini-Quest in Tanzania and enjoy one of the most vibrant countries in Africa. As part of this unique program, you will work with local children, teaching English, improving their personal hygiene, and caring for them.

After completing the volunteer project, you will be involved in a delightful safari that explores the breathtaking landscapes of Tanzania. Expect to encounter wide variety of wildlife including roaring lions in this three day tour.

 
Detail Itinerary

Day Zero: Arrival
Our representative will greet you when you arrive at Arusha’s Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will then be transferred to Rustic Volunteers’ home base In Moshi.

Day One: Introduction and Orientation
You will start your program with an orientation. The briefing will cover important issues. So please pay good attention. You will be advised about health and safety issues, told about the climate, and you will be informed about your project work and if there are any changes in the tour itinerary.

Day Two – Eleven: Volunteer Work (Work in the orphanage)
Start your work on day two. You will work with local children in local orphanage. Volunteers are greatly encouraged to continue to care for and teach these orphaned children, as well as serve as a shining a role model. Your work will include teaching them English, improving their personal hygiene, playing games, as well as making sure children participate and learn from other extracurricular activities. Use your free time to explore Moshi. Ask about interesting places to visit from member of your host family, orphanage staff or our in-country coordinator about where you visit.

Day Twelve - Fourteen: Explore Tanzania

Day Twelve: Lake Manyara National Park
See spectacular game viewing in Laka Manyara National Park. The park is a scenic gem, filed with lush greenery. Wildlife galore in the park; numerous blue monkeys, buffalos and wild elephants will greet you as you safari. You’ll also encounter giraffes, impalas, hippos and over 400 species of birds. You’ll pass through forests, grassy floodplains, an alkaline lake, and the dramatic, volcanic peaks of Maasai Steppes. Accommodation: Shared Camping, B/L/D

Day Thirteen: N'gorongoro Conservation Area
Day thirteen starts with a travel to N’gorongoro Conservation Area. The swirling landscape of the area, large varieties of wildlife and discovery of ancient archaeological remains in the area makes this a truly remarkable place.

You will do a full day safari in the volcanoes, grassland, waterfalls and forested mountains and witness lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes as well as a prismatic catalog of hundreds of bird specimens. Accommodation: Shared Camping, B/L/D

Day Fourteen: Tarangire National Park - Arusha
Last stop on the agenda. Be involved in another full day of safari in the park that is home to vast number of elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards. Tarangire National is an ornithologist's paradise, offering a variety of feathered species, including some of the most aggressive birds of prey flapping their expansive wings over the famously-varied fauna and avifauna. Accommodation: home base, B/L/D

Return to Moshi to end the tour
