With Rustic Volunteer's Summer Volunteer & Trek Program, you get to experience the wonders of Kenya and work to help the impoverished communities at grassroots level. This is an exciting volunteer program where you can work for the deprived and visit wonderful places. Our program takes you to Amboseli National Park, teeming with wildlife, to Lake Nakuru National Park, and old renowned Masai Mara. And all this after you've had the satisfaction of serving orphaned children.

Price and Dates

Price: US$ 2149 (No Local Payment)

Program Fee Covers:

  • Accommodations (usually shared with fellow travelers) in hostel, hotel, and camp
  • Local food three times a day
  • Local transportation (usually local buses)
  • Airport receive/pick-up
  • Insurance
  • Park entry fee

Fee excludes:

  • Daily transportation to project
  • Airfare
  • Visa and Visa extension fee
  • Airport taxes
  • Immunization
  • First night hotel stay and food
  • Transportation costs to and from Mombassa. You need to buy your own ticket ($25-30 one way)
  • Any room/food before program starts/after program ends
  • Bottled water, soft drinks during project
  • Any tips to guides, gifts to host family or projects
  • Personal expenses
  • Airport drop off
You program fee covers room and food from the first day (first or third Monday) to the last day of the project. Rustic Volunteer does not cover the cost of room and food for the first day of arrival (usually Sunday) and after the completion of project. If you choose to use Rustic Volunteer's hostel, you will only be required to pay $30 USD per day for food and accommodations.

Program itineraries are merely samples and likely to change to accommodate the changes in field conditions. This itinerary will be finalized during orientation in Kenya
