Detailed Itinerary

Day Zero:
Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the hostel.

Day One: Introduction and Orientation
The program starts in Rustic Volunteer’s office where you will be orientated in the details of the project. You will also be briefed in other pertinent issues like health and safety, work responsibilities, the climate and how to deal with local people. After orientation, you will depart for the project and settle in with the host family or in an orphanage hostel.

Day Two - Ten: Community Work in an Orphanage
India is washed to poor and orphaned children. Often the orphanages struggle to cope with the volume of children that they can take in. Their financial resources are always strained. In this circumstance, volunteers can contribute a lot by taking care of the children and relieving orphanage staff of some of their work. You will look after the personal hygiene of the children, teach them English and other stuffs and play games with them. Evenings are free for volunteers to explore the surrounding areas.

With the volunteer work over, you’ll return to our office to be briefed about the next day's tour program and the places they will visit (includes topics such as home stay, transportation, conduct, and clothing).

Day Eleven - Fourteen: Four Day Explore India program
You will start the Golden Triangle tour which will take you to Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. The tour captures the pomp of India’s past by showing majestic architectural creations and a rich tradition of art and culture.

Day Eleven: Explore the Cultural City of Delhi
Your tour starts in Delhi, one of the largest city in the world. First, travel to Old Delhi and witness imposing Red Fort built by the great Mughal emperor Shah Jehan. The fort was build when the Mughal capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. You will then tour nearby Jama Masjid, the great mosque and walk around the always buzzing lanes of Chandni Chowk.

You will then travel to New Dehil and visit Mahatma Gandhi Memorial at Rajghat and observe Qutab Minar, built in 1191 and the tallest stone tower in India. Later, travel to Hamayun's tomb. A drive through Delhi's broad tree-lined avenues will bring you to India Gate, a memorial to the unknown soldier; Rashtrapati Bhawan, residence of the president of India; past the interesting Rajpath; and on to Connaught Circus, a shopper's paradise.

Day Twelve: Visit to Agra - Explore Taj Mahal
The second day begins with a four hour drive to Agra following breakfast. In the city, get mesmerized by the beauty of Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by the grief-stricken emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial of his beloved wife Mumtaz. It is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Day Thirteen: Agra-Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur from Agra and discover the glory of Rajasthan, the desert state of India.

En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned town. The town was abandoned due to lack of water after only few years of being built. Today its fortifications, massive gateway, and palaces are a wonderfully preserved reminder of a mighty past kingdom.

In Jaipur also known as the Pink City, you will visit the City Palace, and wonder at the blend of imported Mughal and local Rajasthani architecture. Not far from the Jantar Mantar, visit Hawa Mahal, “ Palace of Winds.”

Day Fourteen: Jaipur to Delhi and Onward
You will start the morning by taking an elephant ride to visit the Amber Fort. The pavilions and courtyards of the palace ascend in successive levels up the hill of the Sheesh Mahal. Known as the “Pavilion of Mirrors”, it is the finest structure of its kind and is studded with small mirrors which reflect the flames of a thousand flickering lights.

You will return to Delhi in the afternoon where the tour finishes.
