Project Locations:

Elderly projects are available in Copan Ruinas (home to the Mayan Empire, Bay Island). World famous for its archaeology, Honduras is full of natural and cultural diversity. Its strong cultural heritage is based on its ethnic diversity -- a mixture of indigenous European and African races. About 90 percent of the Honduran population is mestizo, a mixture of indigenous, African, and Spanish races also referred to as Ladino. Its full of contrasts: from traditional culture and history to modern urban infrastructure and much of the amenities you would expect from a city.

Volunteers can organize different possible excursions during and after the project to visit places of interest. There is a tourist infrastructure already in place the volunteer can use during weekends. For example: snorkeling, Mayan ruins, scuba diving, hiking, reef diving, mountains, art, milk fairs, festivals, caves, ecological parks, hotels, and many more.
