| Project/Volunteer's Life: |
Volunteers in Ecuador 's English-teaching projects will either be teaching or assisting in the teaching of classes at various educational levels - kindergarten, elementary and high school. Other areas of education may be taught, such as: Art, Physical Education, Mathematics or other areas which volunteers have experience in (i.e. Music, Computer Skills). Volunteers are also required to assist in the organizing of extracurricular activities as well educating the children regarding issues of sanitation and personal hygiene. Classes will usually be held Monday through Friday. Volunteers are encouraged to use a number of methods to aide in the teaching of English, including: flash cards, singing songs, etc.

| Skills and Qualification |
Although no formal teaching experience or qualifications are required, volunteers should have an enthusiastic interest in teaching English while simultaneously being a notable role model for these children. Volunteers should be eager to teach and care for these children. Working with children requires patience and flexibility. Volunteers should have a basic understanding of the Spanish language in order to effectively work within these school-based projects. |

| Meals/Accommodations: |
Rustic Volunteer Travel manages room/food for volunteers. Volunteers live with the host family and we manage a separate/shared, simple, clean and modest room as well as local meals three times a day. Volunteer will also have an access to our office in Ecuador and mobile number of our coordinators. Our staffs also visit volunteers in each 2-4 week interval as a part of the program. | Project Locations: |
English teaching projects are available in Quito (officially San Francisco de Quito, the capital city of Ecuador in northwestern South America) and Galápagos Islands (archipelago of volcanic islands) . Ecuador straddles the equator, from which it takes its name, and is renowned for being one of 17 mega-diverse countries in the world with 1600 bird species and 25,000 species of plants Most of its cities offer most of the amenities you would expect from any city.
Volunteers can organize different possible excursions during and after the project to visit places of interest. There is a tourist infrastructure already in place the volunteer can use during weekends. For example: architecture, museums, city tours, fishing, rock climbing, festivals, restaurants, art, music, hotels, and much more.
