The Forestry development project has been designated to cover deforested areas along the route of the gas duct from Bolivia to Brazil. The project supervisor is a committed agronomist therefore Rustic Volunteer Travel seeks volunteers/travelers with an interest in environmental conservation and, moreover, volunteers/travelers who are willing to devote their time and expertise to ensure the program's success. Volunteers/travelers will have the unique opportunity to be a part of something that will benefit the region as well as its next generation.

 
Project/Volunteer's Life:

Volunteer will participate in hands-on projects that will offer a fantastic opportunity to work with Bolivia 's diverse botanical species. Volunteer will help with planting, maintenance and collection of botanical species, and there is also a chance to get involved in research activities. Volunteer with an experience in marketing or publicity can also assist in locating sources of funding, raising awareness of the project and preparing promotional materials. Volunteer will work 5 hours a day, from Monday to Friday. All the necessary equipment, like gardening and planting materials will be provided on site. There are about six permanent staff members in the project.

Skills and Qualification

No qualification is required to join the conservation project in Bolivia . While Spanish is preferred it is not required. Rustic Volunteer Travel offers free Spanish lessons to participants volunteering in Bolivia . All volunteers are encouraged to be flexible, patient and adaptive as well as possess a "can-do" attitude. placement.

Meals/Accommodations:

Rustic Volunteer Travel manages room/food for volunteers. Volunteers live with the host family and we manage a separate, simple, clean and modest room as well as local meals three times a day. Volunteer will also have an access to our office in Bolivia and mobile number of our coordinators. Our staffs also visit volunteers in each 2-4 week interval as a part of the program. Project Locations:

Conservation projects are available in Santa Cruz (Andes Mountains, famously called the El Oriente by locals). Bolivia is celebrated for its famous mines and friendly yet diverse and protective culture. It's full of contrasts: from it Spanish influence style of architecture to the pre colonial period influence yet still has many of the amenities you would expect from a city. Volunteers can organize different possible excursions during and after the project to visit places of interest. There is a tourist infrastructure already in place the volunteer can use during weekends. For example: skiing, silver mines, hot springs, mountains, ecotourism, pink river dolphins, riverboat trips, lakes, city tours, arts, entertainment parks, museums festivals, restaurants, hotels, and many more.
